Guild Benefits

Newsletter

This is a monthly (except summer and December) publication giving details of meetings, study groups, workshops, Guild projects, and other interesting tidbits.  It also a venue for advertising related to fibre arts businesses and events.

Equipment Rental

When you first join the Guild and are learning these crafts you may not yet have the equipment you need, or even know about the various kinds of wheels and looms available. We have a good collection of spinning wheels, looms and other related equipment for rent at reasonable rates.

Library

An extensive library offering books, magazines, and videos on weaving, spinning, dyeing, felting, knitting and related fibre topics available for loan.

Education

Workshops on weaving, spinning, dyeing, felting, knitting and other fibre related topics are set up on a regular basis which any member can participate in. Fees vary.

Scholarship Fund

A Scholarship Fund is available to members (and is NOT based on financial need) to encourage the pursuit of their fibre art.

Guild Programs

Every month during our general meeting, we have a short program about a particular topic. A deep dive into things like spinning for socks or how to use a distaff, usually presented by one of our talented Guild Members!

Guild Sponsored Workshops

Throughout the year, our Guild sponsors various workshops that are available to our Members-in-good-standing who wish to sign up for the course. In the past, topics have included “How to photograph your products in the best light”.
