Fall 2011 classes at Place des Arts

Place des Arts is an integrated arts centre in Coquitlam, BC offering classes and workshops in a variety of fibre arts. Our fibre studio is the only one in the Lower Mainland offering a variety of table and floor looms as well as spinning wheels. Our fibre technician, Irene Weisner, has over 30 years experience as a fibre artist and teacher.

Place des Arts offers classes and workshops in weaving, spinning, dyeing, tapestry, felting, knitting and basketry. Fall 2011 classes begin the week of September 19, 2011. Featured in our Fall workshops is “Appalachian Egg Basket” and a variety of Christmas workshops such as “Wire Crochet Christmas Stars”, “Christmas Miniature Baskets”, and “Felted Christmas Ornaments”. Private lessons are also available.

Open studio time, subject to room availability, is available between classes free of charge for registered students. Weaving students are also able to take home small table looms for practice between classes.
