Fibres Plus is having a book sale. For the month of October, all books are on sale at 10% – 20% off. We’re thinking of maybe not stocking books in the future. We’ll have to give it some serious thought. Here’s the link to the sale.

The Langley Centennial Museum commissioned this research to determine the history of a basketry collection known as the “Pearson Collection.” The results, now available online, include a history of the collection, biographies of persons involved and an analysis of the basketry.

Yarn Harvest 2010 is a yarn crawl of the local yarn shops of the Lower Mainland taking place on Saturday September 25, 2010. This event is being sponsored by the Fraser Valley Knitting Guild.
For a $5 registration fee, you get a Yarn Harvest ID button, a 10% discount on purchases made at participating stores on Yarn Harvest day, any additional activities or promotions offered by the stores, entry in the Grand Prize Draw, and an invitation to the Harvest Dinner (ABC Country Restaurant, Coquitlam) where there will be draws for multiple door prizes. (Note: The cost of dinner is NOT included in the registration fee.)
Registration in person with $5 cash on September 25 at 88 Stitches in Langley, at Black Sheep in Port Moody, or at Gina in Vancouver.
